Sr. RF Engineer

Lead technical resource for Central Region BSS technical issues and development. Works with market teams to test new features, develop vendor upgrade paths, and verify new release functionality. Candidate will work with market teams to develop effective LAC / RAC planning to maximize efficiency and stability of BSS platforms. Will work with regional capacity planning team to insure BSS platform is properly dimensioned and all capacity management features are tested and implemented as applicable. Travel will be required as necessary (up to 30%) for in market tests as well as visits to vendor facilities. Night work will be required as necessary when testing features that will be service affecting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
BSS Vendor recommendations for feature enhancement
New Feature testing and implementation guidelines
Feature optimization work with local markets
BSS Software release Impacts to RF performance
Interaction with FSC Vendor managers on Lab tests, FOA, and Implementation. This effort will be in conjunction with Regional Program Management, with the BSS Eng acting as RF SME
BSS Dimensioning support for Network Capacity Planning. Support for back office LAC, Rehome, and BTS level planning
Market support for optimization needs
New product testing and review- Optimization (New Drive test gear, etc)
Regional level performance analysis by vendor. Benchmarking and annual evaluation
BSS Parameter compliance and audits
Facilitate Training on new and existing technology

Ericsson OSS Engineer

We are looking for an Ericsson Operation Support System (OSS) Engineer to work for one of the telecommunication company in the Middle East region. You will be responsible for providing technical support and monitoring and optimization of Key Performance Indicators (KPI). The ideal candidates must have worked on a similar role in the field for the past 5 years and have good experience and knowledge of Ericsson' latest systems and networks. Arabic speakers are at distinct advantage for this role. This will be a one year renewable contract based in a very nice and safe country.

NMS/OSS Solution Architect

Globally Successful Telecoms Organisation seeks to recruit an experienced OSS/NMS Solution Architect in Ireland. The Solution Architect will be involved in four phases of the System Integration projects: Pre-Sales, Solution Analysis, Solution Design and Solution Integration. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Solutions Analysis and Solutions Design as part of System Integration projects. Applicants will need to have a strong background in Technical Leadership and be educated to degree level (or equivalent). GPRS Site Support System Engineers

The Nortel Onsite support engineers should be system engineers with a high level of expertise on all Nortel GPRS elements.  A minimum of two years of experience on Nortel GPRS elements.  A minimum of two years of experience on Nortel GPRS elements (GGSN/SGSN) in a support environment and a good understanding of digital cellular systems

Our client, a leading Mobile Telecoms Consultancy company is looking for a number of Senior (4 years +) experienced RF Planning and Optimisation Consultants for a project based in Connecticut. The work will start in 3/4 weeks so 1 month notice is the maximum availability candidates should have. The mobile technology is GSM / GPRS so strong GSM (or 3G in some cases) experience at least is required. BSS Optimisation Engineers

Our Client - a leading consultancy based company in the Far East are urgently looking for Optimisation Engineers with at least 3 years solid experience of changing parameter settings on the OMC's to improve key performance indicators for the following kit (2 or more positions in each kit): Nortel BSS, Motorola CDMA (IS95 and 1X) BSS, Alcatel Bell CDMA core network, Siemens GSM BSS, Nokia GSM BSS & NSS. The package will include a return flight, accommodation and a daily rate in USD. Chinese speakers are preferred but this is not essential. Please get in touch with the rate you require between 200 USD a day - 400 USD a day, depending on whether you are a local APAC consultant or a Western Ex-pat. Please note $400 would be the absolute maximum and a lower rate will have a direct impact on your chances of sucess. Availability should be about 2 weeks ideally. RF Manager

Our Client is currently looking for an experienced GSM RF Manager for a project in the Middle East. Vendor specific experience is not required although candidates with a mix of Ericsson, Nokia and Siemens experience is ideal. Candidates should have at least 5 years RF Planning and Optimisation experience (Frequency Planning, Cell / Coverage Planning, Network Tunning, Neighbour selection, Optimisation). Candidates should also have proven ability in leading a team of RF Engineers through a rollout in both planning and optimisation stages. NSS Planning Engineer

Our client has an urgent requirement for an experienced GSM NSS Planning Engineer for a substantial GSM network expansion project in the Middle East. / Persia. The successful candidate will be joining a consulting team working with the incumbent operator. Ideally candidates should have experience of core network dimensioning, switching, capacity and traffic planning on a GSM network (MSC, BSC, HLR), and optimisation of the Core Network topology. Also it would be extremely beneficial for candidates to have experience with signalling (SS7, N7), GPRS network dimensioning / planning, and IN planning. NSS Technical Service Engineer

The NSS Systems Engineer will support our customer and third party vendors in current and future deployment projects. Applicant must have at least 3-5 years of experience in NSS technical support or related systems, and must be proficient in software implementation, maintenance, and debugging with the Network Subsystem (NSS) such as MSC, HLR/AC, VLR, SSP, STP, and OMC. The successful candidate will utilize his/her advanced skills in telecom technology in this position. Knowledge of wireless technologies is a must with a strong, fundamental understanding of wireless network infrastructure (BTS, BSC, MSC, OMC, PDSN) and protocols (IS-41, SS7, ISUP, TCP/IP). We are looking for a team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills who is able to work independently while implementing approaches. Traveling more than 50% of the time will be required.
Keyword Skills : 3-5 years of experience in NSS technical support or related systems.
Bachelors of Science Degree, Masters preferred In-depth knowledge of NSS, strong system-level understanding of CDMA. Knowledge or experience with GSM, CDMA, TDMA, and 3G.
Knowledge and/or experience with CDMA/CDMA-1X/EV-DO in a definite plus.
Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

GPRS Optimisation Expert / Manager

Our client currently requires a senior GPRS Optimisation consultant at the RF level. Candidates should have a number of years experience working with GPRS and knowledge of how to optimise the GPRS / GSM network on an RF level to make sure the maximum network quality is achieved through measuring KPI's (key performance indications) and what needs to be done to improve the network (this may mean changing the RF planning rule and BSS parameter changes).
